The very nature of leadership has consumed the attention of politicians, corporate leaders, and academics as a necessary and critical feature to achieve success in any vocation, calling, or organization. It is for that reason

that Tarleton State University’s Leadership and Military College offers within its curriculum the Foundations of Leadership, a survey course designed to pierce the often over-used word of leadership and give it life and meaning

with an understanding of the interdisciplinary contributions that have created the field. In precise terms, The Foundations of Leadership examines theories and models in varying contexts and perspectives that allows students

to develop a broad understanding of leadership and its complexities. Traditional and emerging theories of leadership are addressed within the underlying framework of how they apply to individuals, groups, organizations, and

society. Additionally, students begin exploring their own thinking on leadership and how it relates to their emerging leadership philosophy and its implications with leading people and organizations. @texancorpsofcadets @texancorpsofcadets @TexanCorps

LDRS 2301 Foundations of Leadership is a survey course that introduces cadets to bachelor of arts (B.A.) and bachelor of science (B.S.) in Leadership and Strategic Studies. Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard, as well as the Reserve components to include The Air National Guard and The Army National Guard, and with the State of Texas, the Texas State Guard.
