Riverside Prep Announces Hire of New Head Football Coach

Gainesville, GA – Riverside Prep has announced its hire this spring of new head varsity football coach, Jeff Lee.  Coach Lee comes to the Academy with more than 30 years in education and experience coaching football. In addition to playing at the collegiate level at Georgia Southern where he earned status as permanent team captain, Lee also played for a time in the USFL and NFL.

“It is an honor to have the opportunity to be the next Head Football Coach for Riverside Prep,” Lee said.  “The history of the school itself and what it stands for is in line with how we will run our football program. I look forward to working with the current and future cadets, administration, parents, and alumni to help build Eagles Football. My wife Catherine and I are truly excited to become part of the Riverside family.” On the field, Coach Lee has received numerous awards and recognition as a head coach. He believes his visibility in building relationships with the students is just as key as strength and conditioning are in building a program.

Athletic Director, Richard Crumley, said, “we are excited that Coach Lee has decided to join the staff at Riverside. With more than 30 years of experience and a great deal of that being in North Georgia, he knows what it takes to lead a successful football program and looks forward to leveraging and reinforcing the structure and discipline student-athletes learn at Riverside. We expect to welcome him to campus in early February.”
