Missouri Military Colonels Football Players Receive All-State, All-District Recognition
MEXICO, MO — Missouri Military Academy (MMA) Colonels junior wide receiver Enrique Padron (Boynton Beach, Florida) was a 3rd team selection on 2020 Missouri Football Coaches Association Class 2 all-state team. Padron finished the season with 20 touchdowns (11 rushing and nine touchdown receptions) and over 2,000 all-purpose yards.
Scoring seven touchdowns in a single game, he currently ranks fourth all-time in the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) for single game touchdowns and fourth all-time in MSHSAA for total points in a game with 52 against Crystal City on Oct. 16, 2020 (seven touchdowns, plus five two-point conversions).
Padron completed 118 tackles, five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), 25 tackles for loss, seven forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
In addition to Padron’s all-state recognition, four Colonels football players were named 1st team all-district for their fall 2020 season performance:
- Christopher Bryant (RB/LB, 116 tackles, 2 sacks, 7 touchdowns, and 497 rushing yards)
- Phasakorn Cunningham (OL/DL, 77 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 recovered fumbles)
- Juan Pedro Garduno (OL/DL, 68 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 recovered fumbles)
- Enrique Padron (WR/OL)
