Modern Languages Instructor
New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) invites applications for the position of High School/Junior College Spanish and French Instructor. Successful candidates will teach both junior college and high school Spanish and French courses beginning in the Fall 2021 semester. A Master’s Degree in Spanish or French (or a related field with 18 credit hours in Spanish or French) is required. A preferred candidate will have at least three years of experience teaching foreign language at the high school or college level.
The NMMI Department of Modern Languages currently offers beginning and intermediate courses Chinese, French and Spanish at the high school and junior college level. Applicants with the ability to teach an additional language are encouraged to apply.
NMMI is a state supported college preparatory high school and junior college, operating within a military environment. Military experience is not a prerequisite. Classes are typically small, and excellent benefits are available. Salary is dependent on education and experience, according to an exceptional pay scale with opportunity for incremental movement.
