| Randolph-Macon Academy is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher for 2021-22. Here is a brief summary of the qualities we are seeking for this position:
Must be able to teach General Math (6th grade), Math Plus (7th grade), Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1. Assess student performance on a regular basis to determine next steps for instruction Design lesson plans that align with curriculum and standards – familiarity with Understanding by Design unit and lesson planning is a plus Use appropriate classroom management skills that create a safe environment for all students Implement a variety of instructional approaches that meet the needs of diverse learners Mentor to a small group of students Effectively communicate with parents as a mentor and teacher Coach a sport or supervise an intramural each season

| Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Math or related field; Prefer Master’s
Prefer teaching license with Middle School endorsement Prefer experience with cutting edge technology in the classroom Must be willing to pursue and incorporate cross-curricular ideas Must recognize different learning styles and provide a variety of instructional approaches Encourages collaboration in the classroom |
