NMMI is a historic military boarding school and junior college. The average annual total enrollment is approximately 917 with a 965 bed capacity. Approximately 50% are in grades 9-12 and 50% in the junior college. Additionally, we host a post graduate program in Service Academy Preparation that provide college credits for students and a second opportunity to apply to the Nation’s Service Academies. The Institute is supported by the largest endowment in two year colleges nationally and the 50th in American boarding schools. Additionally, NMMI is a constitutional school that existed at the time of statehood and is a recipient of a portion of the New Mexico Land and Permanent Fund. These sources of support allow NMMI to reduce the costs to families and we are consistently ranked among the best values in education.
