Preferred educational requirements include a Master’s degree or equivalent, advanced military schooling (preferably a Senior Service College graduate), and a background that demonstrates a commitment to the educational values of a demanding curriculum encompassing academic rigor, physical fitness and a strong military regimen.  Management experience in an institution of higher education or other structured residential educational environment is desired.  Compensation is competitive and VMI provides housing in historic quarters on the grounds of the Institute.
