GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Director of Cadet Activities is a full time, 12-month position that will provide support, guidance, leadership, and an entrepreneurial mindset to oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of weekend activities, intramurals and clubs, life skills, adventure challenge training, facility rentals and other duties as assigned.
This position must have the abilities in development and management of youth programs, employees, financial, marketing, and strategic operations. This position will require two weekends per month and occasional nontraditional working hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the Director of Auxiliary Programs/Cadet Activities with:

- Preparing, organizing, implementing and selling the paid activity program.
- Preparing, organizing, and implementing the Ring Ceremony and other formal events.
- Providing supervision of Boodle Shop, weight room(s) and other athletic facilities and security of all equipment.
- Developing and implementing activity programs for the Academy and College for the school year, including off campus trips, clubs, intramural programs, and on campus activities.
- Chaperoning off campus trips or facilitating a weekend activity at least two times per month.
- Organize periodic outside food services in the boodle.
- Assisting the Director in the coordination of use of the barracks and other campus facilities for summer camp and rentals from cadet departure to athletics return.
- Assisting in the scheduling and communication with year-round rental groups for use of the swimming pool, athletic fields and other campus amenities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors Degree required.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years Summer Camp, Student Activities, Auxiliary Services or Recreational experience. Must also be proficient with Microsoft Word, Mail Merge, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

- Well-organized, detail oriented, self-starter, ability to write and communicate effectively, ability to handle sensitive information, patience, integrity, and works well under pressure.
- Must possess the ability to work well with others.
- Must be good at multitasking and time management.
- Desire and ability to work in a boarding school setting.
- Must have professional phone etiquette.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications preferred.
- A sense of humor and entrepreneurial mind set are a must!
- Ability to learn new ideas and be flexible with the existing policies.
The starting salary for this position will be $40,000 annually.
